Privacy policy

We explain how Sognando Casa processes the personal data of people who visit this website and who contact us, under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

  • This website is a corporate showcase: it does not sell products online and has no user accounts.
  • We only process personal data when you write to us, via the form or by email, and through the website's technical logs.
  • We do no profiling, we do not sell data and we do not send newsletters.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Sognando Casa s.r.l.s., with registered office at Via Adige, 70, Rozzano (MI), Italia, VAT no. IT08020260967.

2. What data we process

Below you will find, for each activity, what data we process, why, on what legal basis and for how long.

Requests and contacts (form and email)

Data

First and last name, role, company, VAT number, website, location, email address, phone number, message content and any attachments (for example price lists, images, technical data sheets).

Purpose

Replying to requests and assessing a possible business partnership.

Legal basis

Pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in managing business contacts (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

Up to 24 months from the last contact, if no partnership is started.

Business relationship with manufacturers

Data

Identification and contact details of the manufacturer's contact persons, and the data needed for orders, payments and invoicing.

Purpose

Performing the contract and meeting tax and accounting obligations.

Legal basis

Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Retention

For the duration of the relationship and, afterwards, for the period required by law (usually 10 years for accounting and tax records).

Browsing data

Data

IP address, date and time of the visit, pages requested, browser and operating system type, outcome of the request.

Purpose

Running the website, keeping it secure and preventing abuse.

Legal basis

Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

Usually no longer than 30 days, unless needed to investigate offences.

This notice covers personal data. Business information you send us, such as price lists and commercial terms, is used to manage the partnership; its confidentiality is governed by the agreements between the parties.

3. Providing your data

You are not required to give us your data. If you don't, however, we cannot reply to your request or start a partnership. Browsing data is generated automatically when you visit the website.

4. Who we share data with

Data is processed by authorised staff and, for specific services, by providers acting as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR:

  • the website hosting provider (Amazon Web Server);
  • the email service provider (Aruba);
  • tax, accounting and legal advisors.

We may also disclose data to public authorities when required by law. We do not sell your data or make it public.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

We process data within the European Economic Area (EEA). If one of our providers is located outside the EEA, data is only transferred with the safeguards provided by the GDPR: a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

7. Data collected in the past

Until 1 nov 2026 this website was used as an online shop. Data collected during that period (for example accounts, orders and information requests) is no longer used for commercial purposes and is only kept for as long as required by law, for example for tax records.

If you had an account or placed orders and want to know what data we hold or ask for it to be deleted, write to claim@sognando.casa.

8. Your rights

You can exercise the rights provided by Arts. 15-22 GDPR at any time:

  • access your data and obtain a copy;
  • ask for inaccurate data to be corrected;
  • ask for your data to be erased;
  • ask for processing to be restricted;
  • receive your data in a structured format (portability), where applicable;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • withdraw your consent, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise them, write to claim@sognando.casa. We reply within one month of the request; in complex cases this may be extended by a further two months.

If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

9. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse: a secure connection (HTTPS), access limited to authorised staff only and carefully selected providers.

10. Other information

  • Minors. The website is aimed at business professionals, not at minors.
  • Automated decisions. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
  • External links. The website may contain links to third-party websites, for which we are not responsible: we encourage you to read their privacy notices.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top; significant changes will be announced on the website.
